From field data to 3D models

This fieldtrip offers an overview on the tectonic structure of two of the main Southern Pyrenean Thrust sheets in the Tremp area, a world class natural laboratory for Geology.

Most of the stops consist of panoramic views along which the integration of outcrop data into their general, regional 3D geology context will be discussed. The hope is that everyone comes away with a “Pyrenean” way to read and interpret thrust and fold geometries and related stratigraphic features. Itinerary

• Wednesday 17th of June, afternoon: Departure from Barcelona. Accommodation near Tremp.
• Thursday 18th of June, full day: Fieldtrip.
• Friday 19th of June, morning: Departure back to Barcelona. Arrival to the airport is scheduled at 11:00 h.
• Difficulty grade: Stop and short walk along paths.
